1 Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
2 Sing out the honor of His name;
Make His praise glorious.
For this is God,
Our God forever and ever;
He will be our guide
Even to death. (NKJV)
Our God is our eternal guide. He knows the beginning and the end. A guide is someone that can show you the way. I don’t know about you, but I don’t know what is going to happen today or tomorrow and I have forgotten most of what has happened in the past. There is no better guide than God because He knows everything that has happened and will happen. God can be our guide even to the point of death. Ask the God of forever and ever to guide your steps today. The best source to discover God’s direction is Bible. Spend time reading the Bible today and ask God to guide you. Let His Word be a light to your path. He will show you the way, trust Him.
1 Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples!
Shout to God with the voice of triumph!
2 For the Lord Most High is awesome;
He is a great King over all the earth.
These verses are encouraging me that there is no leader or ruler higher than God. He is the Lord Most High. He is the great King. When you look at politics and world struggles it is easy to fall into worry and frustration. God is way above the Democrats and Republicans. He is way above the CEO of the company you work for. Realize that nothing is slipping by the Lord. He knows what is going on all around the world all the time. He omniscient and omnipresent. He also knows when people are following Him and when people are not. Choose to follow the Lord Most High. Put your trust completely in Him. Realize that God will triumph completely over His enemies and that victory has already been determined. As you recognize the victory has already been won on the cross, clap and shout to great King over all the earth with voice of triumph. Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords! If Jesus is your King comment below.
God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling. (NKJV)
The Lord is near. He is available even when your life is being turned upside down. I like that this verse says that he is “very present.” God is teaching me that He is more near to us than we even realize. He is right here, right now, always. Because He is very present, we do not need to fear. God doesn’t give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let the God of all comfort be your refuge and strength today. Turn to Him to break free from fear.
Psalm 45:6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
This Psalm points to Jesus as the eternal, righteous King. In order to reign with Jesus eternally we need to be righteous as well. The problem is that we were born sinners and not righteous. In order to solve this problem Jesus paid for our sins on the cross. He was crucified. When we believe in Him, He takes our sin on Himself and nails it to the cross. He then fills us with His righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” When we believe in Jesus our sins are forgiven and we can live with Him forever eternally.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
